Thank you for using NI-DAQmx Base, version 3.2 for Linux.

The NI-DAQmx Base 3.2 software provides LabVIEW and C Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) which allows you to create applications for your National Instruments DAQ devices which will run on Linux.

The following main features were added in NI-DAQmx Base 3.2

  • New Device Support—Added support for the NI USB-9234
  • DAQmxBase Properties—Properties for NI USB-9234 and AO Regeneration.
  • LabVIEW 8.6 Support—in addition to LabVIEW 8.5 and LabVIEW 8.2.
  • OS Support—NI-DAQmx Base now supports the following Linux distributions:
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 & WS 5
    • Mandriva Linux 2007 & 2008
    • openSUSE Linux 10.2 & 10.3

Installation Instructions

  1. Copy nidaqmxbase-3.2.0.iso to your hard drive.
  2. Either mount the iso image or burn the image to a CDROM and mount the CDROM.
  3. To launch the NI-DAQmx Base installer, run the INSTALL script as root from the mount location.
