Release Notes
NI-488.2 for Mac OS X, Version 2.5 is the latest driver offering from National Instruments. Every attempt has been made to maintain backward compatibility with the installed base of existing NI-488.2 applications.

System Requirements
NI-488.2 for Mac OS X requires the following:

  • Mac OS X 10.4.x for PowerPC, where x is 8 or later
  • Mac OS X 10.4.x for Intel, where x is 8 or later
  • Mac OS X 10.5 for Intel
  • At least 210 MB of disk space for the complete installation
Supported Interfaces
NI-488.2 for Mac OS X supports the following hardware:
  • PCI-GPIB
  • PCIe-GPIB
  • GPIB-ENET/100
  • GPIB-USB-HS (NEW)
