LabVIEW 8.6 is the current version of the LabVIEW development systems (Base, Full, and Professional). LabVIEW 8.6 is not a free update; it is an upgrade that must be purchased. However, users may download and install the LabVIEW 8.6 Professional Development System to evaluate for 30 days free of charge by visiting the LabVIEW 8.6 Evaluation Software Download Page. For convenience, SSP members may visit the NI Services Resource Center, to download LabVIEW 8.6 for Windows immediately. Linux and Mac users can obtain LabVIEW by contacting your National Instruments sales representative. You may upgrade to LabVIEW 8.6 from an earlier version of LabVIEW by using our online Upgrade Advisor. Refer to the LabVIEW Upgrade Notes for a complete list of new features in LabVIEW 8.6.

Installationshinweise

LabVIEW 8.6 for Windows requires activation. See the readme and release notes for additional information and detailed installation/activation instructions.

If you are using driver software, you should either install LabVIEW with the Driver CD or install the specific drivers needed after LabVIEW installation is complete. LabVIEW Toolkits will also need to be installed for this version of LabVIEW. Most Toolkits and Modules can now be installed from the LabVIEW Platform DVD.
