Thank you for using NI-DAQmx, version 8.9.5.

NI-DAQmx 8.9.5 includes support for LabVIEW 2009 in addition to support for LabVIEW 8.6.1, 8.5.1, and 8.2.1.

Installation Instructions

Perform the following steps to install NI-DAQmx:

  1. Download and run the self-extracting executable NIDAQ890f1.exe.
    This will install NI-DAQmx 8.9.5 and all necessary driver files.
  2. You can optionally download and run the self-extracting executable for the NI-DAQmx Device Documentation 8.9.5. (Linked Below)
    This will install the device documentation for the hardware supported in this release of NI-DAQ.

To conserve disk space you can delete your extracted files. It is recommended that you keep the extracted installation files in case you need to add features from the NI-DAQmx distribution in the future or you need to include the NI-DAQmx installer in a installer you build.

Install Notes

The NI-DAQmx installer is packaged as a self-extracting archive that will automatically launch the driver installer. By default, files are extracted to C:\National Instruments Downloads\NI-DAQmx\8.9.5\ and can be deleted to conserve disk space. It is recommended that you keep the extracted installation files in case you need to add features from the NI-DAQmx distribution in the future or you need to build installers that include NI-DAQmx.
