Thank you for using NI-DAQmx, version 9.0.2

NI-DAQmx 9.0.2 is the latest measurement services software for your data acquisition and signal conditioning devices.

The following main features were added in NI-DAQmx 9.0.2:

  • Newly supported devices in NI-DAQmx—
    • CompactDAQ Chassis: NI cDAQ-9174, NI cDAQ-9178
    Refer to Device Support in the NI-DAQ Readme for a complete list of devices.
  • Support for Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.
  • Full support for X Series Functionality in .NET Framework Languages and Measurement Studio
  • Additional X Series Examples in ANSI C and LabWindows/CVI
  • Fixes for 4 customer reported issues. Refer to Fixed Issues in the NI-DAQ Readme for a list of fixed issues.

Installation Instructions

Perform the following steps to install NI-DAQmx:

  1. Download and run the self-extracting executable NIDAQ900f2.exe.
    This will install NI-DAQmx 9.0.2 and all necessary driver files.
  2. You can optionally download and run the self-extracting executable for the NI-DAQmx Device Documentation 9.0.2. (Linked Below)
    This will install the device documentation for the hardware supported in this release of NI-DAQ.

To conserve disk space you can delete your extracted files. It is recommended that you keep the extracted installation files in case you need to add features from the NI-DAQmx distribution in the future or you need to include the NI-DAQmx installer in a installer you build.

Install Notes

The NI-DAQmx installer is packaged as a self-extracting archive that will automatically launch the driver installer. By default, files are extracted to C:\National Instruments Downloads\NI-DAQmx\9.0.2\ and can be deleted to conserve disk space. It is recommended that you keep the extracted installation files in case you need to add features from the NI-DAQmx distribution in the future or you need to build installers that include NI-DAQmx.
