Installation Instructions

1. Download the LabVIEW_RT_801.exe file, and double-click the file to launch it. 2. Click the Unzip button. Once files are extracted successfully, press the OK button and the installer should launch. 3. Follow the installer's prompts until installation is complete. 4. Other National Instruments hardware and software products may also have recommended updates after installing LabVIEW 8.0.1. Refer to this document for affected National Instruments products and what action is necessary to use them with LabVIEW 8.0.1. This installer update the installation on the Host PC and provides new software versions to be installed to LabVIEW Real-Time Targets. Installation of updated software versions for LabVIEW Real-Time Targets can be performed from Measurement & Automation Explorer. Please see the readme file for more information. WARNING: You must mass compile your LabVIEW directory after installing the LabVIEW 8.0.1 Maintenance Release. Failure to do so will result in unexpected program dialog boxes and degraded performance.
