Description

The software installation provides support for customers using NI USRP transceivers. To program the NI USRP transceivers, use the NI-USRP API.

Features in Version 1.0

NI-USRP 1.0 includes the following features:

  • Support for NI USRP-292x devices
  • Support for LabVIEW 2011 (32-bit)/2010 (32-bit)/2009 (32-bit)
  • Support for Windows 7/Vista/XP
  • Interactive configuration utility to change device IP addresses and update firmware and FPGA images
  • Support for continuous and finite generation (Tx) and acquisition (Rx) operations
  • Full set of examples, including examples that use the NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit

  • Compatible with Ettus Research USRP2 and USRP N210 devices using WBX and XCVR2450 daughterboards

Installation Instructions

Perform the following steps to install NI-USRP:

  1. Create a temporary folder on your local hard drive and name it NIUSRP100
  2. Download and extract the niUSRP_100.zip file into the folder you created in step 1.
  3. To launch the NI-USRP installer, open the NIUSRP100 folder and double-click the autorun.exe program
    or run the command <temporary folder path>\autorun.exe.

To conserve disk space you can delete the downloaded .zip file, however it is recommended that you keep the extracted installation files in case you need to add features from the NI-USRP distribution in the future, or plan to create your own installers using National Instruments development environments.
