Description

NI-DAQmx 8.0 for Linux supports the following Distributions:

• Mandrakelinux 10.1 Official and Mandriva Linux 2006
• SUSE LINUX Professional 9.2 and 9.3
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 3

NI-DAQmx 8.0 is the latest in measurement services software for your data acquisition and signal conditioning devices. NI-DAQmx 8.0 sets the standard for ease-of-use and performance through:

• Support for LabVIEW 8 -- LabVIEW Project, Shared Variable, etc..
• Support for the world's first PCIe data acquisition devices ..
• Human-readable configuration to import/export NI-DAQmx configuration data.
• LabVIEW support for synchronous and asynchronous DAQ events.
• Querying of DAQ device capabilities including available physical channels and bus type.

National Instruments supports the latest version of NI-DAQmx for Linux driver software for application development with NI LabVIEW 8.0 and ANSI C.

*NOTE: Mandriva (10.1 and 2006) users cannot install DAQmx 8.0 for Linux from CD media with the default fstab options. Please see the install.txt file for more information.

Installation Instructions

1. Copy the appropriate NIDAQ800_distribution.iso file to your hard drive.
2. Either mount the iso image or burn the image to a CDROM and mount the CDROM.*
3. To launch the NI-DAQmx installer, run the INSTALL script as root from the mount location.
