NI-DAQmx Base, version 2.1 for Pocket PC 2003 and Windows Mobile 5

The NI-DAQmx Base 2.1 software contains a LabVIEW Application Programming Interface (API) which allows you to create applications for your device which will run on a PDA. NI-DAQmx Base includes the following features:

• NI-DAQmx Base provides a high-level interface on LabVIEW PDA for Pocket PC 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.
• NI-DAQmx Base is a subset of the NI-DAQmx API. If you are familiar with NI-DAQmx, you should be able to comfortably use NI-DAQmx Base.
• NI-DAQmx Base is comprised of LabVIEW VIs, which allows you to customize the driver, if needed.

NI-DAQmx Base 2.1 supports PCMCIA E-Series cards, Compact Flash CF-6004, USB-600x and USB-6501 on Pocket PC 2003 and Windows Mobile 5 with LabVIEW PDA. The development environment runs in LabVIEW 8.2 and is supported on Windows 2000 and XP. NI-DAQmx Base 2.1 for Pocket PC 2003 and Windows Mobile 5 must be used with LabVIEW PDA 8.2.

Refer to the NI-DAQmx Base Readme for more information about the NI-DAQmx Base driver and differences between NI-DAQmx Base and NI-DAQmx.

Installation Instructions:

1. Create a temporary folder on your local hard drive.
2. Extract the NIDAQmxBase210.zip file into the folder created in Step 1. This will create the installation files necessary for installing NI-DAQmx Base.
3. To launch the NI-DAQmx Base installer, run the setup.exe program created in Step 2. NI-DAQmx Base requires LabVIEW 8.x for PDA to be installed in the system.
4. Before you can use the driver on your Pocket PC device, install the Pocket PC driver components located in Start Menu >> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-DAQmx Base.
