Description


NI-FGEN 2.4.1 for Linux supports the following devices:

  • NI PXI/PCI-5402
  • NI PXI-5404
  • NI PXI/PCI-5406
  • NI PXI/PCI-5412
  • NI PXI/PCI-5421
  • NI PXI-5422
  • NI PXI-5441
NI-FGEN 2.4.1 for Linux brings the following new features to Linux:
  • Support for the NI PXI/PCI-5402 Function Generator
  • Support for the NI PXI/PCI-5406 Function Generator
  • Streaming
  • Script mode
  • Frequency List mode support for the NI 5402/5406/5441
  • New trigger and event routing features: new VIs, functions, trigger types, and event types
  • Data marker events
  • Marker support added to arbitrary waveform mode
Development Environments
NI-FGEN 2.4.1 for Linux supports two application development environments (ADEs):
  • LabVIEW 8.0 and 8.0.1
  • C and C++ through the use of the gcc compiler

    • Note: NI-FGEN for Linux does not support other ADEs, such as the LabVIEW Real-Time Module, LabWindows/CVI, and Measurement Studio. Also, some features available through LabVIEW for Windows are not available on Linux.
Linux Environments
NI-FGEN for Linux is supported for Intel x86 32-bit systems only. This installer has been tested on the following Linux distributions:
  • Mandrakelinux 10.1 Official
  • Mandriva Linux 2006
  • SUSE LINUX Professional 9.3
  • SUSE LINUX 10.0
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 3
