Description

For all ADEs (LabVIEW or text-based programming languages, such as LabWindows/CVI or Visual Basic), use the NI-435x Instrument Driver function calls to program your board.

After installing NI-DAQ 7.0, run the installation of the NI-435x 2.1 CD. It will detect that there is already a version of NI-DAQ and NI-VISA in the computer and it will automattically disable the installation of NI-DAQ 6.5 and NI-VISA 2.5. To disable the installation of VirtualBench 2.5, go to the Advanced settings of the installer.

Refer to the shipping example programs that install with the NI-435x Instrument Driver to get started with your application.

If programming in LabVIEW, you could also use NI-DAQ Traditional VIs to program your application. However, you will find that it is more difficult to program using NI-DAQ than NI-435x function calls. Refer to the 435x example programs that ship with the NI-DAQ driver to get started with your application.

If you are using tex-based programming languages, you canot use NI-DAQ Traditional function calls to program your 435x board.

The minimum versions of the Application Development Environments (ADEs) and the additional software required will depend on the version of NI-DAQ installed in the computer. The following apply if NI-DAQ 7.1 is installed.

Minimum ADEs:

      LabVIEW 6.1 (or later)
      LabWindows/CVI 6.0 (or later)
Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 (or later)
