You can expand DIAdem's shipping feature set with your own by creating a DLL in the GPI (General Programming Interface) format. The GPI Toolkit includes examples and a GPI-DLL Wizard that works seamlessly with Visual C++ 6.0, so that all you need to do is include your own C code in the routine the Wizard creates for you. Your GPI-DLL can call external DLLs as well, including DLLs made by LabVIEW. If you build a GPI-DLL that is a file import filter, you will be able to configure DIAdem so that it automatically presents that import type in its "File" >> "Open" dialog. In general, any GPI-DLL included in DIAdem opens all the GPI-DLL's variables and functions to the DIAdem environment, on Report Templates as well as in VBScripts. The end result really is to add a new feature to DIAdem.
