Description

HSDIO 1.4 supports the PCI/PXI-654x, PCI/PXI-655x, and PCI/PXI-656x devices and the following application development environments:

  • LabVIEW 7.x
  • LabWindows/CVI 6.0 (or later)
  • Microsoft Visual C++ (MSVC) 6.0 (or later)
NI HSDIO 1.4 contains all the features of HSDIO 1.3 and adds:
  • Support for open collector generation on the NI 655X devices
  • Support for per cycle, per pin tristate for NI 655X devices
  • Addition of real-time hardware comparison of actual response data with expected response data. For more information on this feature, visit ni.com/info and enter the info code nsi5410
  • Support for using the waveform data type (WDT) in C application development environments
  • Addition of an "if/else/end if" instruction in the supported scripting language
  • Addition of the niHSDIO_WriteNamedWaveformFromFileHWS function and a
  • Write from HWS File instance of the niHSDIO Write Named Waveform VI
  • Changes to the possible values of input impedance for NI 655X devices; refer to device specifications for details
  • Changes to recommended input voltage thresholds; refer to device specifications for details

Installation Instructions

STEP 1
Make sure that the following versions (or later) are installed on your system before installing NI-HSDIO 1.4:

NI-DAQ 7.5 (Traditional and NI-DAQmx)
The following should install with NI-DAQ 7.5:
NI-VISA
IVI Engine

STEP 2
Create a temporary folder on your local hard drive.

STEP 3
Download nihsdio140.exe to the folder you created in STEP 2 and extract the contents by double-clicking the executable.

STEP 4
Run the setup.exe executable to launch the NI-HSDIO installer.
