NI-FGEN 2.5 adds support

Supported Application Development Environments: 

You can use NI-FGEN in a variety of application development environments (ADEs). The supported versions of your ADE that can be used with NI-FGEN are listed below.

NI LabVIEW 7.1, 8.0, 8.20, 8.5

  • NI LabVIEW Real-Time Module 7.1, 8.0, 8.20, 8.5 (no support for NI PXI/PCI-5401/5411/5431 devices)
  • LabWindows ™ /CVI ™ 7.0, 7.1, 8.0, 8.1
  • Measurement Studio 6.0, 7.0, 7.1, 8.0, 8.1
  • Microsoft Visual C++ (MSVC) 6.0, 7.1, 8.0
  • Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0

Notes:

NI LabVIEW 8.5 support requires NI-FGEN 2.5, which is on your LabVIEW 8.5 driver CD. If you need a LabVIEW 8.5 driver CD, please contact your National Instruments sales representative.

Installation Instructions

NI-FGEN Installation Instructions:

  1. Create a temporary folder on your local hard drive.
  2. Extract the NIFGEN250.zip file into the folder created in Step 1. This creates the installation files necessary for installing NI-FGEN.
  3. To launch the NI-FGEN installer, run the <folder created in step1>\2.5\NIFGEN250\autorun.exe program extracted in step 1
