NI-5640R 1.2 provides software support for:

• NI PCI-5640R IF Transceiver

NI IF Transceiver Software: The NI-5640R API or the LabVIEW FPGA Module
This software installation provides support for customers using either the NI-5640R instrument driver application programming interface (API) or the LabVIEW FPGA Module to develop custom FPGA and Host VIs. Please view the readme file (readme.htm) for more details.

NI-5640R 1.2 includes the following new features:

• LabVIEW 8.5 support

Minimum Application Development Environments:
You can use the NI-5640R in the LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA application development environments (ADEs). The minimum versions of these ADEs that can be used with NI-5640R are listed below.

Supported Application Development Environments:

• NI LabVIEW 8.2 Full Development System or Professional Development System
• NI LabVIEW FPGA Module 8.2 (optional, required for custom FPGA programming)

Additional Software Required:
The following software is included in the NI-5640R version 1.2 installer and does not require subsequent downloads. The links are provided for reference. These versions, as well as later versions will work with NI-5640R version 1.2.

• NI Measurement and Automation Explorer 4.3
• NI-RIO FCF 2.3
• NI-VISA 4.2
