Description

This page provides updates for the Express VI Development Toolkit 1.0. Currently included is an update that fixes multiple issues and provides support for LabVIEW 8.0 and later.

This patch fixes the following issues.

• Copying Express VIs that are in licensed libraries breaks the Configuration Dialog VIs for both the copy and the original Express VI.
• Sometimes pressing the New button from the Create or Edit Express VI dialog causes the Getting Started Window in LabVIEW 8.0 and later to open in front, preventing access to the New Express VI dialog.
• VIs opened in LabVIEW 8.0 and later from the main Express VI Development Toolkit dialog open in a private application instance. Any VIs opened from the Express VI List tree now open in the application instance that has focus when you display the Create or Edit Express VIs dialog.
• This patch also includes the 1.0f1patch which fixes the following issues.
  • Users will no longer see duplicate entries in the main tree for Express VIs. This fixes the problem where users tried to delete one of the duplicate items and the entire user.lib\_express directory was deleted.
  • Users who deployed their Express VIs to other machines had problems because a help VI was missing.

Installation Instructions

1. Make sure no other VIs are open.
2. Open the LLB and run the Update ExpressVIDev.vi.
3. Follow the instructions in dialog boxes that appear while the VI runs.
